Imperial Healthcare Services provides compassionate, effective, and individualized treatment for alcohol and drug addiction, mental health, and related disorders. Mission Statement

Imperial Healthcare Services, LLC. supports individuals who require behavioral health and community psychiatric rehabilitative supports. Our services provide quality, outpatient and community-based supports that provides education, treatment, recovery, and skills for independence. Our program provides therapeutic interventions that fosters success.

The Program’s mission is to provide a range of treatment services to youth and adults residing in Wicomico County and surrounding counties, whose health and well-being has been impacted by behavioral and mental health issues.

Imperial Healthcare Services, LLC. has a vision that the lives of children, adolescents, and adults, are transformed by meaningful social inclusion and person- centered recovery plans. Community inclusion services are flexible, participant and family driven, and supportive of the person- centered plan. Our services are intended to provide supports to optimize resources that are established or build additional skills within our participants that promotes sustainability in being successful in the individual’s recovery plan.

Meet the Team:

Emelda Njei, CRNP-PMH

CEO

Emelda Fri Njei is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has over a decade-long experience in the nursing field with her experience ranging from mental health, substance abuse treatment, and long-term care.

She graduated from Mountain State University with a Bachelor’s in Nursing, the University of Maryland with a Master’s of Science in Nursing with a Specialty in Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Her mission is to inspire hope, provide patient-centered care and contribute to health and well-being by providing the best care to every patient through prevention, intervention, treatment, and education.

Valerie Ward Kellam, LCSW-C

Valerie Kellam Ward is a Maryland Licensed Certified Social Worker- Clinical. Valerie has more than twenty years of counseling experience working with individuals across the lifespan, with a primary focus on working with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, life changes and transitions, and traumas. Her counseling experience also includes working with clients with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. She believes through self-acceptance, people can retrain their brains to embrace a meaningful quality of life. The use of cognitive behavioral therapy and existentialism are frequently used as a way of understanding worldview.

Marcel Fomotar, Ph.D, DNP, CRNP-PMH

Marcel Fomotar is a doctoral-trained and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with sub-specialty in addiction nursing. He is licensed in Maryland. Marcel believes in personalizing mental health treatment and using an integrative and evidence-based approach in managing mental health conditions.

Marie-Blanch Baker, CRNP-PMH

Ms. Marie-Blanche Baker is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner nationally board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has over nine years of experience working as a mental healthcare provider. She has worked in several mental healthcare environment including crisis center, inpatient and outpatient settings.

She is deeply passionate about providing quality holistic mental healthcare services and known to collaborate with her patients to ensure optimal wellness.

She graduated from all nursing programs with honors. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Prince George’s Community College, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Maryland University College and a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a focus on Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Walden University.

She enjoys travelling to experience different culture and spending time with her lovely family during her leisure.
